Getting more members to join~

I wasn't sure I was suppose to put this topic in the announcement. I was thinking that we need to bring in more members to join this amazing mep group. I was thinking that each of us can upload a video about the DFGS auditions so the news can spread out and people can check out the audition video. What do you guys think?  

I think it's a good idea because we have open MEPs that still need to finish so I say yes

i love that idea. i've been thinking about that lately too, but i think the audition vid should be updated too because some of the people's names that i put in the 2nd original audition vid are no longer in DFGS. it's kinda old and needs an update reflecting the new current dfgs. i've been trying to work on a new audition vid, but i epically fail at them i haven't really gotten far with it though cause i'm so busy with college which eats up most of my time. also i was trying to hold off till 9/22 that way when DFGS gets it's new co-leader if figuered s/he could help me come up with some ideas and help me create the new vid, but if anybody has any ideas for the new audition vid as of now i'd love to hear them  

I completely agree with this! As much as I like the closeness of a small group, it would be nice to have some new faces. When a new co-leader is chosen, I look forward to this!

Maybe as a suggestion, we could have several different mini-promo-vids (perhaps made by the member whose page it is) that we put on our respective channels, and then link to a full one with rules, etc. on our channel page? The promo vids would be like a TV spot in relation to the trailer that our channel audition video would be -- just enough to get people going "Huh? What's that? Gotta learn more..." so that they click the link to our full channel.

Using our rep character? XD Since I feel like we don't really use our rep characters much XDDDD (aside from the Alice Underground one)

That's a fun idea -- the rep character could be the focus of the member's TV spot, like Belle seeing different Non-Disney canons in the enchanted mirror and then the DFGS logo or Nausicaa flying around and greeting other characters before the logo pops up or something like that. It might not need to be required, but it would be one cool way to do it!  Or we could just feature the rep characters in the TV spots/trailer; as Nuriko said, it'd be nice to feature them more.

i like these ideas, but i'm not exactly getting a clear picture at what we'd be doing with the mini-vids. could somebody explain it to me in more details? sorry if i'm totally lost

No problem, baby...I realize it's a little weird. XD; The idea would be to have a real audition video on the main Studio channel, one that advertises the channel, its audition process, and any other information about the studio, rather like a trailer does. Take this trailer for Disney's new video game Infinity, for example.



Like Infinity, we would then have "TV spot"-like ads on our channels in the form of shorter videos -- vids that also advertise the studio, though in a more condensed, less specific way, so as to encourage viewers to learn more at the Studio's channel. Here are a few examples of Infinity's TV spots.




Unlike a full trailer, it doesn't give the entire framing of the product they're selling, but instead teases the viewer with footage from the games and hints about what the game is about. As well, both of the TV spots take different approaches with how to advertise the product, one with testimonials from kids playing the game, and the other with a possible scenario that could happen in game. We would make our "TV spot" vids for the channel in a similar way -- allowing each member to advertise the studio in their own way while keeping the information condensed and slightly vague, so as to encourage people who see our videos to check out the full audition video.

oh ok. i kind of get it now. so there would be a main vid on DFGS, and then a mini vid on each of our channels talking about the studio? did i get that right?

Yep! That's exactly it. The main vid could be a minute or two long and include all the details of joining and blah, while the mini-vids would all be less than a minute and be just teasers.

Lol Disney Infinity.... Such a good teaser, the first day it came out heaps of kids came running to the store I work at to ask for it

Just saw the message on youtube. Will do. And we are still doing rep character mini ones as well? Sorry I haven't been on its been a really hectic time right now. (And I so agree we should do more with those reps

We will be doing more work with our rep characters soon but for the sake of time we're just doing the audition video that's already on youtube please don't forget to upload it to your channel and have a link to the original video in the description. Thank you!
